Robotics Workshop for Parents

23/9/2018

To check you happiness index, you must ask a question to yourself, "When was the last time you did something for the first time?" casue joy of doing anything for the first time is incomparable. That's exactly what parents of our students in Qurious Mind's Robotics Lab at Shantiniketan School experienced this Friday, when they made their first Robot and wrote their first program to operate the robot.

They did everything their children do during Robotics sessions. That included making a Robot, programming a robot, making mistakes and learning from them instead of getting spoon fed, collaborating in a team and ofcourse doing the 'Yessss' action when they were successful.

The idea of the a parent workshop was liked by all and parents who missed the opportunity due to festival season asked for more such workshops. Here are some glimpses of the workshop.

Qurious Mind conducted a Robotics Workshop in Marathi during a summer camp organised by Kalasangam. It was a very satisfying experience to see the joy on the faces of little #qurious minds after making their first robot.
During the event we also got an opportunity to interact with parents on how to prepare children for ever changing technological challenges and how to make studies interesting. It was very well received by the parents.

Vidya Pratishthan’s New Bal Vikas Madir, Pimpli, Baramati organised Robotics Workshops for primary and middle school students on 09 Jul 2015. These workshops were conducted by Flt Lt (retd.) Manoj Jamsandekar of Qurious Mind, Pune. More than 60 students from standard 3 to standard 7 attended the workshops.
The Robotics Workshop included introduction to Robotics through a fun-filled and interactive quiz, videos of robots created by Qurious Mind students and assembly of one robot using the Qurio REaCH robotic kit.
Children participated enthusiastically and were delighted to build a fully functional robot, their first one. The robot was carried home by the children. It was really satisfying to see the joy on their faces.
Automation is certainly the next big thing after IT revolution. With a lot of thrust on ‘Make in India’ it is essential for every child to be equipped with this technology of future. Foreseeing this, VP’s New Bal Vikas Madir has taken first step towards preparing students of Baramati for future. The school also arranged a session by Qurious Mind for parents on ‘Need and Benefits of Robotics for Children’.

Qurious Mind finished the #Summer2015 on very high note. It was tiring yet very satisfying summer. @QuriousMind trained 50% more children this summer over last summer. The #RoboticsWorkshop student count increased by 200% over the last summer. The creativity was at its best as Children created whooping 14 new designs. Qurious Mind conducted #RoboticsTraining at 5 locations in Pune. In addition to conducting Robotics Training in Pune, Qurious Mind also travelled to Kolhapur, Jaysingpur and to Silvassa this summer. There were a lot of first times for Qurious Mind this summer. These included a Robotics Training batch for children below 7 years age, a girl power batch, Robotics Workshop outside Maharashtra, Launch of our own Qurio REaCH kit, and Robotics Training exclusively for residential societies.
We would like to thank parents and children for their patronage and our friends and well wishers for their astounding support.
